It was easy to click together but it has screws to make it more stable and was hard to screw by hand. It's cute but there is nothing inside but a little shelf that is supposed to act as a stove top, with a couple stickers that look like burners. The description said fireplace inside, the inside wall of the house just has what is supposed to be a fireplace, not a sticker, not a dif color or anything. For $[...], I don't think it was worth it. My 4 yr old was in it once. It doesn't even have a any place to put the little plastic food and utensils that came with it, so they stay on the floor. I liked the attached table but other than that, I don't think it's worth it. I wish I would have spent more and got a nicer one. My 4 yr olds head hits the roof too. 21 of 23 people found the following review helpful: By = Durability: This review is from: Little Tikes Picnic on the Patio Playhouse (Toy) My husband and I put the playhouse together using a power drill and a screwdriver in about 45 minutes. My husband also screwed a small garage mat to the bottom of the playhouse so Serenity would have a floor to sweep or "vacuum".The pretend stove is small. Just like one reviewer said, more like a "little shelf" (that doubles as a base for the cordless phone), but it serves its purpose and makes the small playhouse a bit roomier. I've ordered an older model 24" Step 2 fridge to put in the playhouse so Serenity has a place to put her food. I'll probably get a little plastic crate to store her dishes to solve the problem of the lack of real cabinets. I do bring all the little items in the playhouse in at night because I don't want them getting messed up - so no cabinets isn't that big of a problem. Right now, Serenity has her Little Tikes doll high chair in the playhouse, and when I add the Step 2 fridge, there will still be plenty of room for her to play and move... Both kids can fit inside and love it! We got it together in about an hour. You do have to drill your own holes for the screws and the "tap the screw with a hammer" trick in the instructions does not work. This is a great house. It is roomy inside (my husband, our 17month old and myself fit inside with a fair amount of squishing lol) but it is not a huge thing either.. We have it in the livingroom for now as our weather in Oregon is less than ideal for outdoor play. Kids love the play food, doorbell, whatever will fit / mail slot, and of course just going in and out of the door over and over is tons of fun!. |
