He loves it! All parts are heavy gauge steel or thick molded plastic. Springs are heavy but easily worked. Spring covers are heavy fabric and plenty long. Overall very good quality materials and construction, very sturdy. Easier to assemble with two people. Two volume levels for sounds, plus OFF.Our grandson is athletic but on the short side, yet he easily climbs aboard in various ways, even using the stirrups occasionally. He has a blast with it, and gets a kick out of "feeding" it the carrot (sensor in mouth triggers crunching/chewing sounds). I think the smooth plastic is more practical than the fabric covering on other brands/models. At first he did not take an interest in riding but liked feeding the horse his carrot. I thought I had made a mistake by buying it too soon. However, a month later he was pointing at the horse for someone to put him on it. This horse really excites him and makes him laugh when he bounces and rocks on it himself. The sounds that the horse makes are not too loud or annoying. As my grandson gets bigger and stronger I can see that this horse will keep him amused for longer periods of time.
